Michelle has always loved animals and saved many over the years. After experiencing a tragedy in her family, she adopted two cats off a neighborhood website a year and a half ago. She assumed they were altered. They were not.
The female turned out to be pregnant. Michelle kept the two original cats and raised the kittens. But she waited too long to get help spaying and neutering them. Soon there was another litter!
While GCCCP was delivering food to Michelle, she told us about her saga. She was overwhelmed.
The best feeling in the world is taking away someone’s longtime pain and anxiety with just a few words. “We will take care of it.”
Four cats went to the SPOT day clinic. And returned, altered.
Five older kittens were brought in for owner\surrenders to be adopted out.
One cat was taken in as “return to home” (RTH) to be returned vaccinated and altered.
And then there was Casper. A large husky mix, not even a year old. He was another rescue that wasn’t neutered and spent a lot of time in a kennel in the living room.
It took some convincing, but Michelle decided he needed a home that had a better situation for this big boy. He also needed to be neutered. So Michelle was able to use the IHS owner\surrender program for him as well!
